Roberto Alomar's T-12 a Personal Success
Cade was fortunate enough to be part of the T-12 Tournament at the Roger's Center in Toronto. Cade was named to BC and it is considered to be the premier tournament in all of Canada bringing in the top 160 players on 8 teams. Cade's BC orange team is loaded with talent, boasting 5 Junior National Team Players where 3 of them are pitchers.
Cade was able to participate in the Scout Day portion as a First Baseman where he got to hit and field. Cade was originally supposed to pitch in relief on Saturday afternoon, but there was a change in the rotation so that he got to start in the third game of the tournament on Sunday. A win in this game would clinch a playoff spot for BC Orange.
It was an outstanding outing and overall success for Cade. The Scouts who had radar guns were 1 mph faster than the stadium gun. Cade hit 89 mph with the fast ball. His curveball was 71-73. He pitched 5 shut out innings. He struck out 10 batters, walked 3 and gave up 3 hits. In the 4th inning, he walked 3 batters on close pitches. He got the feel again and struck out 2 and a pop up to get out of the inning. In the 5th he went back to throwing hard and using all of his pitches to have a quick 5th inning. It was an impressive effort and quality performance.
