Successful Florida Trip

The trip to Florida was a success for me last week. The team was able to go 6 and 1 in the 7 games in St. Petersburg. I pitched 2 innnings and had 5 strikeouts. I hit 86-87 with my fast ball in my first action on the mound. The first inning was 3 up 3 down. In the next game that I pitched I have 2 strikeouts, 1 BB and a hit. A couple of errors and a passed ball allowed an unearned run.

In the field I started 6 games at 1st base. I went 7 for 16 along with 7 walks and 6 RBIs. I hit 2 doubles. My goal for the week was to work on recognizing pitches. I have been working on some mechanics to help me hit the ball harder and arrive on time at the plate. It is a work in progress. "I am not there yet but I am closer than I was yesterday."
