2015 Year in Review

2015 was a good year for me for a number of reasons. I had a great deal of success academically with a 97.5% average in my courses. I had success in basketball as a regional all-star. I was part of the boys volleyball team that won the provincial title.

More importantly, it was a great year for my in baseball. I played my first year with the Abbotsford Cardinals. I played most of the games with the junior program where I was voted as the captain. I played with the senior team for 9 games were I hit over .310. With the junior team I played most of my games at first base where I hit over .350 and only made 3 errors the whole season. As a pitcher, I pitched 40 regular season innings and led the league in strikeouts with 62. The next closest pitcher had less in almost double the innings.

After my team finished 3rd in the league, I made Team BC going to the Western Canada Summer Games where my team won the gold medal. I hit over .400 and had 10 RBIs in 24 at bats including, 3 RBIs in the gold medal game. I was invited to the Pacific NW invitational where I was on the team that won the tournament. I pitched 4 innings with 6 ks and no earned runs. I went to the top 96 camp in Washington. The last exciting thing was that I started to hear from colleges and universities about possibly playing post secondary baseball.
